Lynn Firth Wildflower Walk

May 5 @ 1:00 pm 4:00 pm

This afternoon hike is a celebration of springtime in the forest in loving memory of FSF co-founder, Lynn Firth. This year’s walk will take place at FSF’s Fisherman’s Cove property, located at the confluence of Big Sandy Creek and the Allegheny River near Polk, PA. We will use mostly flat trails, but may venture off-trail to uneven terrain, while keeping a relaxed pace. You can read more about Fisherman’s Cove on FSF’s Conserved Lands map here. Parking is available along Fisherman’s Cove Rd. at the PA Fish & Boat Commission boat launch.

If you are not able to make it, we encourage you to join us virtually! This StoryMap was created for the 2020 Wildflower Walk and features a series of videos to guide you through the flora of Trolley Line Trail at the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. You can also use it to brush up on your spring ephemeral flower identification skills!

There is no RSVP required for this event.

Free Event is free and open to the public.
