This year's Jim Finley Stewardship Day brought us to the newly conserved Robert Crawford Memorial Forest in Washington Township, Erie County. A dedicated group of volunteers prepared the site for public recreational use by clearing trails, cleaning up an old dump site, removing tree tubes from an older plantation that no longer needed them, installing property gates and signage, and more. The most fun find of the day? A 1979 Vespa!
Thanks to our volunteers, we are now ready to welcome attendees of the Loving the Land Through Working Forests Walk on Saturday, September 19. There are still spots remaining for the walk and Annual Dinner the night before. Visit our Events page to learn more!
