The Foundation for Sustainable Forests is participating in the 2022 Creek Connections Virtual Symposium by providing an educational activity aimed at teaching students to identify traits of healthy, resilient forests, and risk factors that may threaten them.

Through a combination of written resources, instructional video, and virtual forest tours, students can learn about the “Keep Forests Healthy” scorecard, developed by The Nature Conservancy, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the Institute for Applied Climate Science.

The activity provided can be viewed in full for use with your students by visiting the 2022 Creek Connection “Keep Forests Healthy” Activity Site.

Healthy forests are a critical component of a healthy watershed in this region. Thank you to Creek Connections for putting this Symposium together and providing FSF with the opportunity to contribute this activity. Special thanks to Bennett Gould for his good work on putting it together!
