May Day Wildflower Walk & Potluck a soggy success

Here in NWPA, May Day was a stormy, wet one. But thankfully, the wildflowers don’t mind! The Foundation for Sustainable Forests hosted the Lynn Firth Wildflower Walk under a steady downpour and distant rumblings of thunder, and a healthy crowd turned out to enjoy the ephemeral spring blooms, followed by a Potluck at the Wattsburg United Methodist Church pavilion.

Thanks to all who ventured out to one of the best wildflower sites this event has ever known- located in Wattsburg, PA. And special thanks goes to Pat & Jim Harwood for hosting the walk, and to Cecile Stelter as our guide!
